Had this on tap a bit back, review is from notes.
Clear copper body with a thin and quick dissipating tan head. Carbonation is on the weaker side.
Aroma is of darker fruits, some banana bread and then a strong alcohol fusel kick.
Taste is honey dominant. A moderate cakey base combines with some yeasty esters. Alcohol is apparent throughout but doesn't ever sting like I'm expecting it to.
Honey is syruppy and sweet. Becomes cloying. This is just too sweet with no counterbalance. Yeast isn't strong enough, alcohol isn't strong enough, carbonation isn't lively enough and hops are nowhere to be found.
I'm thinking this could age really nicely and become quite enjoyable. It's still decent for about half the glass but that's it.

Pours a dark, brilliant red with a foamy off-white head that dissipated pretty quickly.
Pretty fruity aroma--grape and strawberry especially. Some sweet maltiness comes through, too. The alcohol is noticeable in the aroma.
Flavor is very similar to the aroma. Strongest flavros are of wild strawberry, with a light toasted biscuity flavor from the malts. Pretty sweet--I can't decide if the sweetness is too much or not. There is also a warm spiciness from the alcohol.
Pretty full body. Smooth, almost glycerin-ey with light carbonation.
A tasty beer, but I could never have more than one of these in a session. It's perhaps just a touch too sweet, but besides that a nice beer.
