From notes on 5/23/14

Very light amber body. Mild floral aroma. Bitter taste. Pretty good. Another pretty sessionable beer.

Overall a very good beer. As far as IPAs go, this one is piney/lemon with a moderate hop kick and a balanced malt profle. The malt is not overwhelming or sweet. Enjoyable and very easy drinking for a 6.2abv offering. An enviable offering from a small brewer in Wisconsin, Stone Arch IPA is solid all around.

Moved from the "Pie-Eyed IPA" listing. "Stone Arch I.P.A." on the label.
Bottle from Ridgeview in Green Bay, seems to be pretty fresh.

Saturated orange with tiny micro-particles of sediment, thin layer of foam, less than a fingers width. Minimal lacing and no skim on top. Swirling just creates a thin ring around the edges.

Biscuity malt, yeast, and traces of marmalade.

Moderately bitter with perceptible hop flavor, equally balanced biscuity malts that are right on track for an English IPA. Green botanicals and a touch of pine. Medium bodied and fairly smooth. Overall it's a good beer, again i'm not sure if this is a unique beer from "Pie-Eyed IPA", as this is the only one listed on their website.

If i could give this wretched beast less than a 1.0 i would. It poured with about an inch of beer and 5 inches of head. i thought my glass had an issue, so i dumped that pour, cleaned my glass and tried again....same result. i took a pull off the bottle and i thought an alka seltzer exploded in my mouth...i tried from the glass and same result. i spit both out. Never ever buy this beer. ever. unless you like alka seltzer beer.
