500 mL bottle pours a golden yellow color with a thick head of off-white foam that reduces to a thin but dense sudsy layer while leaving chunky lacing. Smells of pale malts, white bread, and a spicy-floral noble hop note. Pretty standard Helles flavors of wheat, white bread, a bit of honey, some spicy-floral hop flavors. Moderate sweetness, honestly an overly thin body, mild bitterness, ephemeral sudsy carbonation mouthfeel, a soft and round feel, relatively quick finish with a slightly bitter and then overly starchy-sweet aftertaste.
This was an OK Helles; I liked certain elements of it, but it felt very light and perhaps lacking for flavor and complexity. The mouthfeel of the beer is nice and soft, but it feels overly starchy on the aftertaste and thin in body. Appreciate my friend Emerald for picking me this up for me in Germany! I'd drink it again but wouldn't seek it out.

On tap at a beerfest in my Village here in the Alps. Had three Mas of this stuff. Watched as this came spuing out of the keg and filled my one lette mug and a couple of seconds. Loved watchin the over spill cove the serving table. Not a remarrkable Helles for these parts. Decent.

Pours a fairly clear yellow, with a white head that eventually dissipates. Slight note of soap on the nose. Semi-sweet lager taste, ends sweet, more syrupy than clean.

Okay I got to be honest, I am not a 100% sure that this is something new. But the whole thing is new, the packaging and the graphics on the can is totally new and the beer is called Münchner Hell - I have never seen anything like this from Löwenbräu. Their Helles so far has only been the Original… and now this? At the same ABV? Could this be the very same beer? Sadly, I wouldn’t even be able to tell the difference. This one though felt much more like a proper helles, soft, smooth and easy to drink. I like the Original too, guess I would have to drink them again side by side to come to a final conclusion if this was indeed something different. But as a Münchner Hell, this was pretty good!
