Looks dark like a typical stout, not much carbonation. It was served at proper drinking temperature, only slightly cooled so the malty coffee flavours came through. As others have mentioned, it does taste like someone's home brew.. maybe that's why I like it. It's not great, but I would pick this over a VB or watered-down lager any day.

I have some overall impressions of this brewery in the Real Ale review:
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/951/15695
Pours like cola....some fizz then flat.
Smells of homebrew, LME. Hint of stale milk.
Tastes really ordinary. Thin, inspid... I poured it down the sink.

Very Dark little stout with a copper coloured head that dies almost instantly. Smells of roasted malt with hints of coffee. Taste is quite stong malt with a hint of a little bit too much carbonation (although you'd hardly guess by looking at it). with the alcohol content only being 4.2% they could have worked harder with this little local. I'd drink it again, but it tastes a little too much like homebrew to bother.
