Poured from just under fridge temp. Pours a nice golden yellow with quickly escaping white head. Nose is subtle, but I'm getting wheat, grass, lemon, salt, and maybe a touch of spice. Taste is really nice. A touch sweet, but with a salty note coming in. Definitely citrus, pine, grass, earth, sap, honey, and wheat. An easy sipper.

Slightly hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma has lots of grains, bread and a bit of honey. Taste is also grainy, bready, a hint of lemon and some hops in the background. Body is quite chewy and smooth but doesn't lack carbonation. Overall it's a really tasty and well made lager.

Poured from the bottle into a pils glass.

Straw pale body, fairly clear even almost green hued strangely. Minimal head creation on the pour, bone white not too bright, with a minimal thin collar and no lacing.

Aroma is a bit buried. Mild herbal green almost sage like aromas but subtle, maybe eve floral. Not much hinting malt quality but decent.

Palate improves nicely. Light sweetness more towards mild brown sugar and lemon. Helles like body a bit, even some melon juiced quality a bit, maybe some pineapple as well, perhaps a tropical body even. Juiced body with a big lingering fruit finish it seems.

Kind of an unexpected brew, but quite fun and enjoyable, probably for me a bit odd and tropical hinting not so much thought of to style it seems as well but no complaints.

This brewery does two 'Ohne Filter' biers: an Extra Herb and the Naturtrüb, which is the bier I had (with the red foiled neck).

0.33 Litre bottle BBD 03-2014, poured into a tumbler on my hotel patio on 13-10-2013 in Ste Maxime, France.

Pale yellow and hazy with a few pieces of sediment floating around: a full white head sat on top.

Slight herbal aroma with a crisp, refreshing feel to the body and taste: fairly sweet, which was a surprise, the malts must have hidden in the smell, only to assert themselves within the flavours, producing a different taste to what you'd expect.

Slightly hazy yellow hay color with a thick head with good retention and apparent carbonation.
Light aroma of lemon, bready malt and yeast.
Herbaceous taste with notes of lemon citrusy and sweet pale malt. Hints of yeast, honey and a bit of sour. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Medium body with low carbonation.
Very balanced and quite flavorful for the style. Recommended.

A: No real head to speak of. Cloudy, you can see some sediment floating around. Few bubbles, but a rather unfortunate pale, straw-like color.

S: Pretty sour, faint citrus?, bready, yeast. Not a very strong smell.

T: Kind of disappointing, weak flavor. Quite bready and a little sweet malt.

M: Clean, bubbly, kind of nice.

O: Not a whole lot to say. Not a bad beer, but a forgettable one.

A: This beer has a cloudy and pale-golden colour, nice frothy white head, the head disappears rather quickly, leaves minimal lacing.

S: Strong malty smell, little yeast following, very little hops in the smell, a little sourness comes with it.

T: Starts malty, mellow citrusy hops follow, very balanced! The finish is slightly sour (may come from the yeast?!), but a nice bitterness goes along with that, the sourness quickly fades away.

M: Carbonation feels a little lower than average, but it has a nice mouthfeel to it, more on the thick side.

O: Refreshing beer, very balanced hops and malt flavours, combined with a little tartness, nice colour and very affordable!

I think this beer tries to be cool, it’s called “without filter” and the label tries to show that it’s a beer for cool and young people who wanna party, etc. I don’t really get why the fact that it’s unfiltered should make it cool, and I couldn’t even taste or smell the yeast…Whatever.

A foamy head on a beautiful golden and slightly opaque color. Some citrus in the smell, and also an unpleasing feeling that I can’t describe. Nothing relevant in the taste, except a nice and interesting floral hoppiness that grows and grows but doesn’t get overwhelming. A decent brew, highly drinkable.

oh, I'm really not sure I put this beer under its actual style
