It seems this beer is made with top fermenting yeast so that makes it a "German Pale Ale". Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is indeed hoppy but not jumping out too much. It's more like an amplified pilsener with lots of noble hops on the aroma. Taste is similar to a Munich Helles. Malty and slightly sweet but more hoppy and without any harsh bitterness, just enough to balance it on the finish and aftertaste, making it more drinkable. Body and carbonation are both light to medium. Overall this beer is quite enjoyable. I think the closest comparison would be an american pale lager like the ones from Jack's Abby, but maybe less bitter.
