Originally reviewed on February 10, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark clear brown, with a soapy tan head. Aroma of stingy grass. Flavor is a rich deep caramel and malt, moving into a really sharp malt with heavily unbalanced metallic hops. ItÂ’s like drinking any brown ale and getting smacked with a mouthfull of pennies. Finish is a little sweet and grassy. Still has more body than any of their other beers.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
