Originally reviewed June 11, 2007. On tap at the brewpub. Aroma is pleasingly nuanced and enjoyable with subtle fruits dashed with honey, whole grain cereal and plain fruits. A bit of sea salt plays in. Yet, still a little held back. Pours a pale amber, on the brass side of the color, with a rim of sparse white. Flavor begins in refreshing gentle tones of honey toasted oat, maple syrup and plum, backed by a chorus of alcoholic brightness and some nips of sugar. Round and enjoyable. Palate bulges with some hop matter and a crisp lemony sensation develops through the background. Heavily drinkable and a real stunner for the season right now.
