Just bought this at the KBC tonight. Brewed in honor of the major construction going on downtown right now. Brewer did not indicate a specific style, so I had to try and pin this one down myself.
A - Pours clear, reddish-brown. Nice garnet hues. One pinky of fluffy head disappears in about a minute. Little to no lacing.
S - Nice malty, fruity esters. A little sour citrus. Some caramel sweetness. Reminds me of great Belgian ales, but definitely a cheaper knock-off. Malt is maybe a little stale. :-/
T - Overall, malty with some background orange peel. A bit sour on the swallow (from the orange peel). Hops is barely a peck on the cheek.
M - Carbonation is initially aggressive, mellowing a bit as the beer warms. Up front, I think it's a little too much, and it may actually hide the more subtle aspects of this brew.
D - Considering how much this brewery spends on ingredients, I think this is a reasonable attempt. However, it can't touch Ommegang's Rare Vos with a ten-foot pole.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
