On tap during Winter Carnival weekend 2012. Poured into pint glass.
A: Pours a straw color with a one finger creamy head. Good lacing, head is quite lasting. A fairly "domestic" looking pint.
N: Initial sweet notes of candied sugar with some light bread like esters. Some minimal rye spice comes through, with a good amount of citrus zest.
T: Typical Belgian notes. Some banana creeping through, along with clove, more candied sugar, orange zest and again some of that rye dry/spice bit.
M: Nice dry mouth and lively carbonation. Fairly prickly.
D and O: Pretty good beer. Good combination of flavors, probably one of the better offerings I've had in a while from the KBC. Different style, with a very different profile that seems like it works.
