Tried by a half pint at the Sheaf View, a nice little real ale gem at the outskirt of Sheffield City.
A: carefully sparkler-poured, so the light golden body comes with a thin but very tight white frothy head, on top of low carbonation.
S: a hay-ish (stinky, lively hops~~) & lemon-ish aroma comes with hints of grape-frut juice, yet remaining very mild overall. Malts are nowhere to be found on the nose.
T: a creamy hay-ish bitter foretaste comes with mild gristy pale malts; chewy bitterness lingers with a green-tea aroma and touches of lemon peels.
M&D: the texture benefits from the superb condition of the cask; not really flavoursome overall, but the clean and even crisp palate on a par with superbly lingering bitterness make this a subtle, well-crafted, albeit simple, Bitter to quaff.
