India Pale Ale was originally brewed stronger and “hoppier” to survive the long journey to the British Colonies. Our unique version of this world class beer style offers a deep amber color and malt flavor. Our interpretation is produced with fresh whole leaf hop flowers from Pacific Northwest America.

Sampled on tap at the Great Dane Brewing Co in Wausau, WI.

A golden ale with a slight haze. The aroma is mostly toasted malt with some floral hops coming through as well. The taste is balanced between the malt and hops. The malt is mostly toast and biscuits but it also has a hint of caramel. The hops are reserved but present. There's some decent lacing as the glass empties.

Not the hop bomb I usually chase but a good beer.

A - The body is a thick pale amber colored haze with a one inch head on top. The medium tan colored head has some significant stamina. Great lacing too!

S - Round hops with brown sugar and a touch of spice.

T - Robust hops accompanied by pungent tangerine and thick, sweet malt.

M - Smooth to start and slightly coarse in the middle. There's a sticky head that begs to be washed, which is part of the reason this brew is so difficult to put down.

~ I'm extremely pleased with this brew. I went to the newly opened Great Dane in Wausau, Wisconsin with some friends last night and this was the first beer I ordered. I stuck with it the rest of the night and had to bring a growler home.
