Stopped at Great Dane Wausau. I had a sample of this and thought it was just ok but bought a 32oz can crowler anyhow.
Look: body is transparent dark amber, ok head that is tan colored, dissipates rapidly leaving no lacing
Smell: sweet toffee, nut and toasted bread, becomes stronger as it warms
Taste: follows the nose, the warmer it gets the sweeter it gets and the more the nut comes out. The nut is a cross between almond and hazelnut. Seems like there is a hint of stoned washed dark fruit too. Very smooth, seems more like a lager than a ale.
Feel: solid for a 6.0%, slightly syrupy
This beer seems to drink stronger than 6.0% . I like it. I wish i had purchased 2 crowlers. 32oz is not too much per session.
