Pours deep, dark chocolately black with a vigorous head of foam six fingers high! This is one foam prone beer. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. The roasted malt is particularly pronounced. Taste is roasted malt with coffee overtones. Vanilla is present but not as forward. The brew is on the lighter side of medium.

Black Earth Vanilla Porter pours a dark brown, almost black color, with a small, barley lacing head. Aroma is smoky, peaty, and a hint sweet. Flavor has a touch of vanilla, a decent amount of smoke and peat. Good body and feel. Overall, lightly flavor, but a nice smoky base, really like this porter.
