Dark and full-bodied, this is our interpretation of the classic English Porter style. Made with nine varieties of malt and assertively hopped, our porter is packed with flavor. Strong coffee and chocolate tones create a special brew for those advancing on the path of fine beer appreciation.

A: Beautiful dark as night, creamy head, great lace chunks.
S: Chocolate, coffee, malty
T: Follows nose, add a bit of sourness. Not much, very slight.
M: On cask, but, the cask must be in the kitchen. Was at LEAST 75 degrees, maybe a bit more.
D: Again, served wayyy too warm! Could not finish the sampler glass. If it were just 10 degrees cooler, 65 or so, this would have been a stellar beer.

Sampled on tap at the Great Dane Brewing Co. in Wausau, WI.
Brown with some light coming through and a nice creamy head. It's got a very strong coffee aroma. The flavor follows with a strong coffee presence (almost too much) and some chocolate and bitterness in the mix. It has a nice smooth consistency.
Their website doesn't indicate that it has actual coffee in it so it sure gets a lot from the malts. The coffee was a bit much for me (I'm not a coffee drinker) but this was a complex and good beer.
