Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a white head. Smells of sweet grain. Tastes of sweet grain and slight fruit flavor. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

Appearance: Pours a lightly clouded, pale yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 4-5. (4.00)
Aroma: Moderate aromas of pale malt, cereal and cracker aromas. Lightly floral and yeasty.
Flavor: Moderate flavors of grassy and floral hops upfront. This then turns into a lemon citrus flavor. Yeast in the middle before a citrusy, yet clean finish. Mildly bitter and mildly tart.
Feel: Medium-bodied. Strong carbonation and yeast. Some lemon citrus lingers to give it a bite.
Overall: A nice drinking German Pils. Hoppy and leans with a bit more lemon than I expected. Hoppy, leans American, and nice flavors here. (Rating:

Aroma is grainy/husky malts and a hint of spicy hops. The flavor is fruit, husky malts and a bitter/beery hop finish.

Maybe I just don’t really like this style of pilsner, but I found this beer kind of bland and too creamy. Definitely drinkable but not really my thing.

Pale gold with a fluffy muffin top of meringue. Aroma is clean and biscuity, a touch of grassy Hallertau. Yeast and hops are assertive, light bitterness, crackery pilsner malt base. Crisp, light feel with a creamy texture. Overall a classic German Pils, I get the feeling that many don’t know what that is anymore. Simplicity and nuance are underrated.

Can from Total Wine outside Milwaukee. Poured into Quebec pint glass in Riverside. Excellent #2 beer - really crisp.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a perfect.
Pours a very pale straw with a slight chill haze. Head is active and recedes to a rim immediately. Leave lace around the glass.
Aroma is crackery malt with a fruity hop rider.
Flavor is.... wrong. Opens sour, middle is sour, closes dry and sour. Either this beer is infected or they canned the wrong beer because I swear this is a Goze or Kolsch.
Mouthfeel is thin and refreshing with adequate carbonation.
(Edit) Had another from the six, definitely a lacto infection. Beer is way sour, slightly funky and has a metallic aftertaste.

Hops: German Hallertau, Malts: Carapils, Pilsen, IBU 15, ABV: 5.25% Final Gravity: 2.50° P
A nice beer tested from 12z cans bought at Woodman's Altoona. A slightly floral flavor, nice but low hops level notes. has a slight softness to it. Maybe some grass & bread notes too. Clean beer & easy drinking
Up date 10/14/19. I had this at the growler guys Eau Claire, took a 32oz can home.
It seems better this time. I am picking more mineral and little bit more bread. and it seems softer.

I finally tried the 4th lager/pilsener offering from Great Dane...this time from a can poured into a Perfect Pint:
For reference, here are the other 3 similar beers that I've tried from them:
1. Landmark Lite 3.22
2. Verruckte Stadt German Pils 4.38
3. Pilot Light 4.32
There is nothing on the can that indicates that this is just a canned version of the Verruckte Stadt, but it very well could be. I had both the Landmark Lite and the Pilot Light on tap last evening, and I think I would give the Landmark Lite a slightly higher score today. Without looking at my earlier review, here is what I think of the canned version:
Look/Appearance--Lighter yellow...definitely darker than a Miller Lite pilsener.
Smell--bit of hop herbal and sugar.
Taste--My recollection was that I liked the Landmark Lite better than the Verruckte Stadt, but, as the scores indicate above, my memory was wrong...and as much as I enjoyed the tap version of the Landmark Lite last night, the canned German Pils blows it away--rather malt, faint hop/herbal, somewhat sweet...but not the cloying you would see with corn malt.
Feel--Rather light, but enjoyable...not sweet, not heavily carbonated...a great session beer.
Overall--I would stack this up with any AAL on the market--if you are in Wisconsin, and your friends like Miller High Life or Budweiser or even Spotted Cow, have them try this and realize what a good lager/pilsener should taste like. Paired well with a chorizo burrito and great by itself. I will definitely recommend and this will be in my rotation this summer.
