Brown in color with cofee colored head. Lighter color on the lacing spots in the center of the head than on the edges. The nose is standardly malty. Creamy mouthfeel and actually a creamy attack and initial flavor with the sensation of chocolate fading to a coffee flavor. There are hints of nut in the flavor that carries through and breaks into a nutty aftertaste.

had it at the bar with my meal
pretty small head
smells a little sweet if anything,
very cold
the aroma comes out late as slight more sweet and nutty
good flavor, but a little more bitter than i like my nut browns to be
nice though and certainly worth a try if you're on Bardstwon Rd in Louisville

Had this in a tasting glass at the brewpub. Pours a nice brown color with a moderate head that dies off. The aroma is nutty, as it should be, and there is a maltiness and caramel character. It has some sort of bitterness in the aftertaste, but this is a darn good nut brown ale. I'd have it again.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass. It pours a deep murky brown with two fingers of head. There is just a bit of lacing left on the glass. The smell is rich and nutty, bits of espresso as well. The taste has a strong roasted coffee maltiness. Rich hazelnut flavors blend in, and just a touch of hops on the finish. Pretty nice. The mouthfeel is just a little light and oily. The drinkability is very good though. A decent nut brown ale.

This beer is a nice brown color, with a small head that fades to just cover the beer. The nose was very nutty, with a nice hop backbone to draw me in. I dig it. The flaor is very full, with roasted nuts, some caramel, and a good bitter that comes through on the finish. The feel is moderate, with just a slight creamyness in there as well. Drinkability is very good as well. These folks know what they are doing with beer.

The Cumberland Brews Nut Brown is a solid brew. The look is really very impressive - a rich brown/ruby color that coppers up in the light. The smell is sweet, sugary with hints of alcohol.
The flavor takes a nice tour of the senses. First to hit my pallate was a dark caramel, which gracefully lead to the 'nut' flavoring. This eventually took a gentle turn towards the bitter in the aftertaste.
The entire experience was very smooth - a well timed combination of flavors that don't compete for attention, and are in themselves, not overly complicated.
