Simple. Decent. Wheat. Matt brews another true wheat beer. This was not a Hefe, it was a plain-jane wheat beer, but it's a beer that defines wheat beers. Light, flavorful, refreshing, it was way good.
A: A little gold, a little cloudy, good head and carbs, HIGH.
S: Like wheat. It smelled of wheat with a little alchohol twinge.
M: Rich, yet smooth. A little better than average.
T: If there is a true wheat beer, not trying to fall onto a Hefe, not trying to back up to a stout, this is it. It tasted more like wheat than any other I've had. It was like eating wheat bread, but the alcohol and "ale" elements from thier Cream Ale. Hops were present but a subtle taste favoring the wheat flavor. Matt scores again.
Drinkability: Very good. I'd have had this if I didn't love the Pale and Porter so much. This would be the beer to get your date if she is stuck on Bud Light while you consumed the porter.
