Pours a clear, brown color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of sweet malt, yeast, alcohol, and hops. Fits the style of an American Barleywine. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp with an average carbonation level. There is also a tartness and bitterness present. Tastes of alcohol up front, roasted malt, slight coffee, slight dark citrus, yeast, and hops. Overall, the roasted malt flavors are more prevalent than I'm used too. A good blend, body, and complexity.

Paid $5.99 for a growler at Party Town in Florence, KY...
According to Cumberlandbrewery.com this is called "The Woo"
"The sugar rich first runnings allow this beer to reach a higher alcohol strength, 10% ABV. To balance the intense maltiness 22 lbs of hops were added to the kettle, almost enough to clog the system, and then another 8 lbs of Cascade hops were used for dry hopping".
The beer pours a dark brown base with a finger sized head, good retention and lacing. The aroma mixes pure cane sugar with a tons of malts and hops; great balance throughout.
Legendary taste, low carbonation and incredibly smooth. Chewy malts up front with enough hop balance to leave the alcohol unnoticed, ends with a sugary aftertaste which is a touch strong and knocks a half point off. Fantastic mouth-feel and a pure session beer.
Final Thought: Cumberland Brewery is a gem in the Highlands district of Louisville and grabbing a big beer growler at $6 from these guys is an honor, very impressed!
