A: Pours a jet black with a creamy, lingering khaki head.
S: Aromas of coffee, cream, vanilla bean, roasted grain, and dark chocolate are present on the nose.
T: Notes of cream, coffee, roasted grain, dark chocolate, minerals, and vanilla bean wash across the palate. The finish is rich and roasty with coffee and chocolate flavors dominating.
M: Medium-bodied, dryish, and silky. Very easy to drink.
O: I tend to shy away from many coffee stouts because I feel that they often lack balance. This one, however, is a real gem. The coffee, chocolate, and grain flavors really merge, and the beer is neither thin nor syrupy. Highly recommended.
