Blind-tasted ex name/ABV%
L- Pale gold, with sediment, into huuuuge 6-8cm dense white foam head; and I poured it with care too. Holds well.
S- Estery Belgian yeast notes. very nice.
T- Bright, dryer than others of this style I've had, esp at this ABV%. Estery notes and hoppy-dry into the finish. p.s. as later it warmed just a touch I could ID that the dryness also comes from barrel conditioning.
F- I've served this fridge cold and I feel that it would be opening up more if it had a bit less chill on it. Brighter and dryer than I was expecting.
O- It's an interesting beer, something a bit different. It's dry side is a lot more evident than I expect from a typical Belgian beer of this ABV%. 'Enjoyable but not special' for me.
Rating drafted, now to check the bottle for clues...
BB: 14/03/2026 It has the logos of two 'WBA Beer Awards 22'; 'Belgium Gold' and 'Belgium Winner'. 3 grains, bottle refermented
