The name of this organic lager is a play on words: It can be read as "Christmas Pure/Clean" or "Chrismas Raindeer".

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Organic strong lager. Strong enough but not what I would think of as a Christmas brew. Too light bodied despite the strength.

The colour is medium dark gold; the finger thick white compact head sinks down to a lid quickly, leaving some lacing.
The smell is sweet with some alcohol, bitter almonds and quite a lot of dough. There is also a peculiar flavour of wet enamel paint.
The taste is sweet and malty with notes of wheat dough, loaf, bitter almonds and some butter. This is an full-bodied lager The aftertaste got lots of alcoholic notes, dough, butter and an anonymous background bitterness paired with some boiled vegetables.
The mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. The carbonation is mild with microscopic bubbles.
I cannot see what this strong lager (not one of the worst I have had) has to do with Christmas anyway. It is also good to have a biodynamic beer that isnt plain awful.
