Copenhagen 1/8 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Retro label declaring that the beer is made with "Genuine Madagascar Vanilla".
Pours opaque dark brown with a light beige head. A bit bubbly. Head disappears fairly fast leaving only a small rim of foam running along the sides of the glass.
Aroma is pleasantly sweet with some bitter coffee notes. Brown sugar, dark chocolate, vanilla and coffee.
Medium strong carbonation and thick oily palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is sweet and intense. Only a very moderate bitterness. Sweet cocoa aftertaste lingers for awhile.
Very nice - but VERY sweet stout. To drink one is a pleasure - but I think I’ll stop there.... until the next time I need a Vanilla fix.

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 6.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Beige head. Moderate malty aroma, notes of brown bread and caramel, some vanilla but not as much as expected. The flavour is also malty but not too sweet, notes of vanilla and chocolate, but not overdone. Good beer.
