Copenhagen 16/3 2019. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Old fashioned and extremely detailed label. Reminds me of Winsor McCays Classic comics.
Pours clear Maroon with a red hue and a medium seized white head. Settles as thin patchy layer just unable to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the side of the beer. Moderate Lacing.
Aroma is strong, sweet and malty. Caramel, brown sugar, burnt rubber. Light roast. Light notes of alcohol with a sweetish twist.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, sticky texture.
Flavor is very sweet almost No apparent bitterness present. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter twist. Lingers for a while.
Sweet and strong take on an Easter Bock.

500 ml bottle, from Dagli'brugsen Helgenæs. ABV is 7.4%. Clear reddish brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of malts, brown bread and caramel. Malty flavour too, distinct caramel sweetness but not too much, moderate herbal hops and a little alcohol in the finish. A faint hint of smoke.
