Copenhagen 20/11 2021. 50 cl bottle from Rema 1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Green label in small sections with winter motifs like a snow man and people strolling in the cold.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty scent mingling with a sourish, grainy odor. Sweet pale malts, caramel and bread. Citrus and sharp sour grains.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Quite on the sweet side for a Indian Pale Ale - and not very hoppy. More Christmas than IPA.
