With extra malt and several types of malt, Veteranøllen has gained a lot of body and depth. The bitterness is well balanced and fruity notes from the hops make the beer refreshing. An experience for both mind and taste buds. The taste goes well with a classic Danish lunch table. Veteranøllen was created in collaboration with "Veterankortet.dk" to recognize the Danish deployed soldiers over time.

Copenhagen 11/9 2021. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. Casual drawing of a bearded fellow in uniform gulping down beer in front of an old wind mill on the label.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a moderate sweet fruity odor mingling with a stronger citric and dry scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and hints of caramel. Citrus and grapefruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Decent without being outstanding.
