Like the other Christmas products, Jule Sten also goes a little further with raw materials, stones and storage time. We brew a strong top-fermented beer (Strong Ale), boil with Czech and American hops, and then long-term store this unique beer with lots of caramelized lava stones. The result is a strong and spicy beer that goes well with the sweet/sour side dishes and rich sauce of Christmas dinner.

Copenhagen 4/12 2022. 50 cl bottle from Rema 1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Red tinted vintage style label with Santa in his sleigh passing an erupting volcano.
Pours opaque, murky maroon with a red hue. Mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of roughly roasted malts, sugar and alcohol. Sweet caramel and toffee. Burnt malt. Dark alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Potent and rough. Exactly like a rock.
