In honor and memory of Brewmaster Peter Klemensen.
Klemme brewed Ronkedoren for the first time in early 2009, when it became the culmination of his many experimental brews. For the first time, Klemme also let another brewer into the brewery in Thisted, namely Christian Skovdal Andersen (known from Beer Here, Ølfabrikken etc.), who was involved in the brewing and as the story goes, Christian probably threw in a little more hops than Klemme had intended.
It is with great awe that we have once again been allowed to brew Ronkedoren, to honor our great brewmaster, who passed away earlier this year. Klemme's importance to Thisted Bryghus is invaluable and his contribution has become a permanent part of the range. To this day, his brews are still the best-selling products, which we brewers at the brewery cherish with respect.
Honor be to Klemme's memory.

Copenhagen 23/1 2022. 50 cl glass bottle from Høkeren, Ravnsborggade, Kbh. N. Brewmaster Peter Klemmensen disguised as Ronkedor on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a earthy scent and a bit of sour grains. Brown sugar and toffee. Tobacco, shoe polish and licorice.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit rough. Lingering. Finish is dry.
Just like a Ronkedor. Impressive and not to be trifled with.
