ØL Havre is a dark stout, but milder and easier to drink than many of the stronger stouts on the market.
This is due, among other things, to the malted oats and the roasted wheat malt from Gyrup, which contribute a fresher and milder/rounder malt profile than the often slightly heavy stouts based on barley malt.
With only 6.2% alcohol, it is a beer that can easily be drunk with a good lunch. Casseroles with beef or pork will also be a perfect match for ØL Havre, or how about trying it with oysters?

Copenhagen 9/3 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Bryggervangen, Kbh. Ø. Simple label in Thisted's Gyupgaard Series usual design.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense, sweet, roasted and fairly pleasant. Chocolate, roasted dark malts, sweetish oats. Light spicy aroma of tobacco and old rope.
Light carbonation. Smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter-sweet with a ligt overweight to the sweetness. Lingers for a while.
Well balanced, smooth and light-bodied stout.
