This year marks 25 years since Thisted Bryghus, as the first Danish brewery, launched organic beer in Denmark. It was the well-known Organic Thy Pilsner. We are celebrating with a new anniversary pilsner, which has been added with even more hops. Look forward to another fantastic tasting experience from Thy.

Copenhagen 20/6 2020. 33 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Brønshøj Torv, Brønshøj. Simple green label explaining that they are making an anniversary pilsner celebrating that it has been 25 years since they introduced the first organic beer in Denmark.
Pours slightly unclear yellow with a fairly big, bubbly white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. no Lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a light malty sweet odor ad stronger grainy bitter sourness. Sweet pale malts, bred and cardboard. Grass, citrus, sour grains.
Light carbonation. Thin watery, tingling texture.
Flavor is moderately intense with medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Finish is dry.
Quite straight forward - but not too sweet and with a decent bitter bite.
