The Limfjord porter is perhaps the best known and most iconic beer from Thisted Bryghus.
When, as in this luxury edition, we age it for an extra 2 months with lots of oak,
the result is an even more round and velvety porter, with the same great taste of smoke and licorice.

Copenhagen 3/1 2018. 50 cl bottle from Føtex, Vibenhus Runddel, Kbh Ø. The usual Limfjords Porter design this time in doused colors.
Pours opaque dark brown - almost black - with medium-sized light beige head. Stable. Settles as thin, creamy layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is rich, sweet, dark and potent. Brown sugar, oak, molasses, tobacco. Hints of vanilla. Strong presence of alcohol.
Low carbonation. Thick, oily, soft and creamy texture.
Flavor has strong sweetness followed by a more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a spicy and boozy undercurrent. Notable alcoholic burn.
Not a bad idea to give the old classic a healthy dose of wood. Nice and strong and with a nice boozy quality. Good one.
