St. Gertrud is an organic, light bock in its most beautiful and purest form. A discreet sweetness is balanced with a light bitterness from the hops, and perfectly rounded off by two months of aging in the brewery's cold cellars.
Enjoy Gertrud for Christmas lunches, remember that she hides her 7.9% alcohol well.
Recommended serving temperature 6-8˚C

Copenhagen 10/12 2018. 63 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled torv, Kbh Ø. Another feature in Thisted's Saints series this time in a greenish version.
Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet, malty and bit boozy. Sweet malts with light hints of caramel. Honey. Straws and hay. Sourish odor in the background. Notable alcoholic presence.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly prickly texture.
Flavor has fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and metallic. Lingers for a bit.
Sweet and little bit harsh and boozy bock. Easy to drink and easy to forget.
