This Blonde is named after the beautiful Belgian town Bruges, also known as the Venice of central Europe.
The recipe is classical Belgian, spiced with organic Athanum and Cascade hops. The color is golden, and it has a pleasant flowery aroma from the hops, and a fruity spicy aroma from the Trappist yeast we use for fermentation.
Brügge is unfiltered, and a lovely pairing for warm dishes with light meat of poultry or pork.
Best served at 6-8˚C

Copenhagen 1/3 2017. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Yellow Belgian Cornfield and what looks like a thirsty peasant on the label. Second installment of Thisteds Belgian series that I’ve tasted.
Pours hazy golden yellow with big white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is not very intense. A discrete odor of stale basement, light caramel sweetness and not much else.
Medium strong carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is well balanced between medium sweetness and light to medium bitterness. Aftertaste is spicy and medium bitter.
Nice strong beer with a small Belgian twist.
