Christmas Ale is a dark brown ale based on the English model. Christmas is the time for sweets, and therefore the brewmaster has brewed a dark ale dominated by caramel malt and with only a little hop bitterness. Christmas Ale was developed in collaboration with the Salling Group. A real cozy beer for the Christmas holidays. Try it with warm liver pâté for Christmas lunch.
Serving temperature 8-12⁰C.

Copenhagen 14/11 2017. 50 cl bottle from Føtex. Drawing of an old Steam Locomotive on the label. I wonder what the relation between Christmas and Steam engines could be.
Pours clear dark brown with red hue and off-white head. Settles as thin layer covering the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet and slightly smoky. Roasted malts, caramel and a whiff of humid basement.
Soft carbonation and soft creamy palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is spicy with licorice and light roastiness.
Nice take on a Christmas Beer.
