Copenhagen 9/2 2018. 50 cl bottle from Fakta. Third installment in Thisted series of Belgian towns. Corn fields in winter mode on the label. Reading the label it sounds like they have evaded any kind of Belgian influence taking in only local Danish ingredients and ignoring the Belgian way to do it.

Pours hazy yellow with a pretty big white head. Settles as a 1,5 cm thick, creamy layer of foam. Moderate Lacing.

Aroma has substantial sweetness combined with pretty intense sour, tart notes. A little acidic.

Medium strong carbonation with prickly mouthfeel. Watery texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by more prominent sour bitterness. Probably the buckthorn running rampart. Aftertaste is sourish and herbal. A little thin.

Not as lemonadish as many witbier but with a bitter, herbal twist.
