Skt. Peter is a beautiful reddish-brown Dubbel, inspired by the centuries-old brewing art of the Trappist monks. It is a lovely beer that we have developed in collaboration with the Salling Group.
Skt. Peter is fermented with genuine Belgian Trappist yeast and lightly spiced with star anise, cloves and cardamom. It is aged for 3-4 months in the cold cellars of Thisted Bryghus.
Skt. Peter is a strong beer that can easily replace red wine for rich Christmas dishes.
Recommended serving temperature 8-10˚C

Copenhagen 11/11 2016. 63 cl bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. A new feature in Thisted series of Saintly Christmas beers.
Pours clear dark amber with a white head. Settles as a very thin patchy layer of foam. Almost no lacing.
Aroma is dark and sweet. Cough syrup, sherry, brown sugar and alcohol. Hints of ginger and cinnamon.
Low carbonation and a medium thick plate.
Flavor is heavy sweet with only light bitterness. Spicy in the way cough syrup is.
I think that 63 cl is a mighty big bottle of cough syrup I had to work my way through.
