Copenhagen 7/12 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh. NV. What I assume is a caramelized lava stone on the label. Quite strange habit to caramelize stones.
Pours clear dark copper red with a white head. A bit bubbly. The head disappears completely after a minute. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is sugary caramel and roasted dark malts. Hints of brown sugar. Alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate. Lively texture.
Flavor is sweet caramel combined with roasted malts. Medium strong bitterness in aftertaste.
I do not know if I believe in all this stony chitchat but I do think that this is a quite fine dark beer.
