To give this lovely stout an extra twist, we've added spicy juniper berries. It's perfect for hearty meat dishes - such as roast beef or pork loin.

Copenhagen 3/11 2015. 50 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksborgvej, Kbh. NV. A picture of a juniper berry on the label to signal that you are dealing with a beer from Thisted Brewery's berry, new Nordic series of beer.
Pours clear dark brown with a light beige head. Stable. Settles as a 3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is bitter and slightly spicy. Coffee and a little chocolate of the bitter kind.
Soft carbonation and oily palate. Gently tingling texture.
Flavor has an overweight of bitterness only partially balanced by a bittersweet chocolate taste. A little spicyness supplement the taste. Bitterness is lingering in the fairly long aftertaste.
A nice coffee bitter stout.
