On tap at Legacy... server described as "Just like the scotch ale only with more hops."
Decently dark ruby... was hoping it would be a touch darker (not that it needs to be) and roastier on the nose. Nice 1/2" head with very good staying power.
Aroma is very sweet and malty. Some undertones of yeast and bread.... Wanted a bit more, but overall pretty good.
Taste was sweet, sweet malt. A tad-bit of spice and some yeasty aftertaste on the swallow. Almost cloyingly sweet. It went down well for the first half, but got very yeasty once it warmed to room temp. Banana and bread. A bit much. I liked it at first, but was hard to finish.
Mouthfeel was sugary sticky. As I said before, cloying.
