Capitol Pale Ale is a medium-bodied, deep gold beer and a great example of a true American pale ale. Light, malty flavors combine with aromatic hops for a beer that is quenching and easy to drink.

Draft pour into a shaker pint glass at Upstream Brewing Co. pub in West Omaha.
A: Slightly hazy, brassy golden color with less than one finger of diminishing white foam head. Light lacing remains on the glass.
S: Mild and clean, with pleasant rustic grainy character that is accented by citrus and floral hops.
T: Begins barely off-dry, with balanced toasted pale malt, herbaceous and mild citrus hop aromatics, and restrained acidity. Grain and herbaceous notes persist into the middle and finish, with mild bitterness developing and flavors generally staying very clean.
M: Thin to medium viscosity, wet on the palate showing balanced texture and lively acidity, with moderate carbonation.
D/O: This is a remarkable brewpub pale ale that stays true to the stylistic middle, but does so in a way that is more than just proficient. It is more focused on the malt, but balance is ultimately achieved.
