Bottle #31, bottled on 8-13-13. The Citra has the red wax coat over the bottle cap. Poured in a snifter, the beer is a bright, pale, hazy, golden-blonde coloring with a frothy, sparse, white head that makes a solid ring on the surface. Aromas of toast, lemon and tangerine sweet and tart, cut grass, and some woody characters. Subtle overall, with mild notes all around. Flavors are lemon and lime sweet and tart forward, with highlights of Belgian characteristics, like bubble gum, and some random farmhouse funk. Building citrus notes towards the end of the palate, into a tart, sweet aftertaste. Thin, slick bodied, with an overall lightness and crispness throughout. The finish is slick, and slightly astringent from all the tart and subtle bitter notes. Interesting, but probably the most mild of the three variations of this beer.
