On tap at The Vermont Tap House, Williston, VT. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden orange to yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing running along the sides nicely. The smell had some sweet citrus to light sour-ed grapefruit rind. Light pulp, some vanilla, light cherry sourness, a delicate amount of wood and then some light piney bitterness. The taste is mainly sour then brings in a dry woodiness with the sweet vanilla edge sliding in to balance. Tart cherries make a nice appearance in the flavor. Some acidity but not overbearing. Sour lemon rind to bitter piney, and sweet vanilla all combine in the aftertaste. Smooth vanilla sweet to sour and slightly woody finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality to it. Since the acidity level isn’t as high, and the vanilla smooths out the rough edges of the woodiness, this one just moves really nicely along my tongue. Overall, wow, I never thought Brown’s could make something this good. I’d definitely have again.
