On tap at Albany Distilling Company in Albany, NY.
This one pours a dark-ish orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
I don’t mind a more old school hoppy beer, but even under that lens, this isn’t that good. It’s malty in an uninteresting way, just stale breadiness, with very little interesting hop character overall – orange peel, some pithy grapefruit, but not enough bitterness to overcome the weirdly heavy duty malt character.
This is light bodied, and not all that drinkable.
I usually can get down with Brown’s, but not in this particular instance.
