750 ml bottle, corked and caged. picked up at the brewery a few months ago. from label "a dark sour ale aged in bourbon and brandy barrels with plums and sage"
pours a dark brown color, still fairly clear. not much head. deep complex aroma - tart acidic notes, plum, black cherry, caramel malt, wood, raisin. taste is similar - starts a little sweet, with lingering mild sourness that is freshing and draws you back. medium bodied, lower carbonation, easy to drink. no detection of the elevated ABV. overall it's excellent- and the bottle was reasonably priced for a barrel aged sour.
