They have brewed this beer to commemorate 15 years of business, this brew use to be in the normal rotation as Uncle Sam's Amber back when this brew pub was known as the Brown & Moran. They have it on tap as well as in bottles from the brew pub. My review will be of the bottle that I picked up this weekend. The brew poured to a nice copper/amber color with a good sized tan head that had both good retention and lacing properties. The aroma is mostly about the malt, nice sweet scent that highlight caramel malts, at least to my nose. Has a slight hop aroma that is blended in nicely as well as a small fruit like smell that I a picking up. The flavor is surprising, the first thing that I notice is hops, I suppose because I was expecting a more dominant malt flavor based on the aroma. The hop flavor seemed to give a wood like flavor which is nice but to me it does not scream pine. After the noticeable hop presences the malts come to life and really anchors the brew with what I sense is more of a roasted flavor than caramel that I noticed in the nose. Has a somewhat dry fell to it and is pretty easy drinking though not super exciting.
