32oz squealer poured into a nonic
L- half finger of off white (dirty sheets)head, large bubbles fade fast, no lace, small islands.
Amber red (what else did you expect from the name).
S- sweet- perhaps toffee or caramel, hint of pepper and bready malt.
T-Malt is prevalent, under tones of red wine, flowers and toast.
F-Light carbonation ,zesty tingle to the tongue, mild and smooth on the throat.
OA- A nice red ale better than most mass produced reds but not as good as some craft reds I've had.
I'll drink this one again if I'm in the bar and in the mood for a red ale.

A - Clear amber-red color with a finger of frothy off-white head. Some good head retention, reducing to a thin layer with some lacing.
S - Aroma has some lightly toasted caramel malts. There is some bread and spice in the background for a bit of balance.
T - Starts off with some light toasted sweet caramel malts with some sweet flavors in the background. There is also just a touch of spiciness in the background. Through the middle some more roasted flavors come through along with a touch more of spices and some biscuit. The finish is a blend of the caramel malts and a touch of spice that lingers. Finish is a bit off.
M - Medium bodied with moderate lively carbonation. Fairly smooth and crisp. The finish feels a touch off compared to the rest of the beer.
D - Pretty drinkable. Nice blend of flavors with the spices. The finish is a bit weird and a bit too heavy/full compared to the feel of the rest of the beer.

A: Served on tap at the brewpub. By the time it got to me there was only scattered head on top of an ambery red body. The second pint had a nice frothy soda-like head.
S: Light crisp malt features prominately in the nose. A touch of sweetness. Very biscuity.
T: Very biscuity but fairly hollow. Some bitterness in the background bit no hop flavor. Kind of a mess and too bitter to be an Irish amber.
M: Light bodied.
D: This is not a great example of the style. It's also not very good in general.
