Poured into a nonic from a 32oz squealer
L- Dark straw gold ( good quality ginger ale color) exactly what I expect from a maibock.
One plus fingers of creamy white head, settles into a thin cap with plenty of lacing.
S- sweet yeast, bread, fruits, hops and a little flowery aroma.
T-sweet fruit, bit of hops but malt taste is stronger, apples notes on the throat.
M- No noticable carbonation, smooth and crisp, mild alcohol bite on the back of the tongue.
O.a.-very easy drinking for a 7%beer (gotta watch this one), A very well done maibock, I'll definitely be drinking this again!

Sampled at Brown's Brewery in Troy
A- This beer was poured into a pint glass, clear, golden straw in color, slightly darker in color than an American Macro. The light frothy head dissipated rather quick into a thin, foamy bubbly lace that slid down the sides of the glass after every sip.
S- Fruity, a bit of yeast and a hint of hops,
T- Like the smell but much more enhanced. I was surprised by the big taste that this light colored, light bodied beer has. There was a sweet fruity taste, but not cloying or over the top. There was a hint of hops after the bready yeast flavor, and there was a bite from the alcohol that followed it all up. Overall, a nice bock style beer that had that little extra something to make it stand out.
M- Nothing special here, maybe just a little thicker than your average lager.
O- A nice different additional to the already killer lineup of brews at Brown's Brewery. If the Whiskey Porter and Oatmeal Stout were absent I would probably go with this. However, don't mistake this light colored, light bodied lager as a sessional beer, as the 7.0 ABV will catch up to you in a hurry
