Brown long-neck bottle with no dates.
Pours a clear yellow gold with a decent but not longlasting white head. Inviting appearance.
Aroma is sweet -- malt dominant with some graininess.
Flavor is nicely sweet with good balance.
An easy drinking beer made to appeal to many beer drinkers.

The beer poured a crystal clear pale golden with a low white and persistent head.
The aroma was slightly filled with DMS and a grainy aroma.
The flavor had the same DMS and grainy characteristics. The bitterness was present just enought to add a well accomplished balance to the beer.
The finish was dry with a slight DMS into the aftertaste. The body was medium
Very easy to drink with a nice flavor characteristic. Would make a good session beer.
12 ounce bottle.

Appearance Light yellowish-orange in color with a decent head.
Smell The malts here are very faint with a delicate, light hop compliment.
Taste The malts form the base of this bottom-fermented lager. They are a bit harsh but a step up from overly-grainy efforts. The soft, light caramel at the end smoothes things out though nicely. Theres a smallish hop compliment to this Helles Lager that keeps things in order.
Mouthfeel I enjoyed the mouthfeel of this one. It is light, very delicate without being wimpy, and lets off some good, tickling carbonation.
Drinkability We had our first official heat wave of the year in Seattle with temperatures in the 90s, so this was a welcome drink.
Comments Thanks to Loki for including this in my BIF 8.0 package. This is the first good American-made Helles Lager style that Ive had to date. It was a quality, thoughtful effort by Apex Brewing. Good job!

Appearance: Golden clear. Leaning towards amber. Nice fluffy whitish head.
Aroma: Sweet caramel. Slight hints of metal. This beer has some nice 'sweet roll' aroma, bready and sweet. The hop aroma is barely there.
Taste: Smooth. Toasted caramel on the front of the taste, leading to a nice dry finish. Small amount of hop bitterness lingers through the mouthfeel. The body is a bit hefty compared to many lagers.
Notes: A very pleasant lager. Nice body, session style.
