Draught @ brewpub: This one pours a clear, dark amber color. It had a decent amount of an off-white head on it. It leaves some lacing down the glass. There is a slight roastiness to the nose. Also malts and a hint of spiciness. This is a somewhat more than medium bodied beer, but not quite full bodied. Some malt sweetness and some pepperiness to the taste. Really well balanced. This is a very drinkable beer.

Served in a pint glass at Red Star. The color was amber, with a ring of white head. The smell was a very sweet malt. The taste was a very nice sweet caramel malt, with hints of plum sweetness, and a slight backing of the Hallertau hops. Mouthfeel was average. As for drinkability, I could definitely have several of these.
A fantastic offering from Red Star, and as good a bock as St. Nick. Absolutely something that I'll have next year.
