Served on nitro at the brewpub.
Pours a deep, dark brown with a medium sized creamy tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma is mainly heavy notes of roasted chocolate malts.
The taste is thick with roasted malt character, a little chocolate, and some smokiness. The finish is roasty and dry. The mouthfeel as you would expect is exceptionally smooth and creamy from the nitro.
Wow, what a great session beer! Lots of flavor and character are packed in here withr only a 3.5% ABV. Definitely a tasty and easy drinking Irish Stout.
